  1. Tokenomics

Weather Effect

The weather effect is a unique tokenomics mechanism created by the Bounty Temple team to control inflation and circulation of the GIA tokens as well as control the Minting of NFT-based BTM. It uses an algorithm to keep the supply of GIA tokens at a fixed number through burning and minting so that the token is not devalued due to inflation.

There will be a GIA Burn Meter set in place to monitor the rate of burning of the token. it will show the ratio of the GIA pool and daily GIA withdrawal amount.

As long as the GIA pool maintains at 55% in a 24 hours period, the Weather Effect will not take place.

Algorithm

  • Total “GIA” Minted = Total “GIA” Burned multiplied by 2

  • “GIA” Minted will be stored in the Pool.

  • The amount of “GIA” in the pool will change based on “GIA” burned, minted, and claimed. The pool will be dynamic.

  • If the amount of “GIA” in the pool is above 55%, no weather effect.

  • If the amount of “GIA” in the pool falls below 55%, the weather effect will kick in.

GIA burning activities such as Consumable Items purchases, Crafting, Upgrading, etc., will ensure a higher GIA minting to the pool.

Example:

Total “GIA” Burned: 100K

Total “GIA” Minted: 200K

Total “GIA” to be Maintained: 110K

Total “GIA” Burned in given time Multiply by 2

Total “GIA” Minted in Pool Maintain ≥ 55% at all times

Scenario A

Total “GIA” claimed from Pool: 80K

Balance “GIA” in Pool: 200K – 80K = 120K

120K > 110K --- Pool Criteria Fulfilled, No Weather Effect

Let's look at Scenario A. If the total GIA claimed from a pool of 200,000 GIA on a given day is 80,000 GIA, the balance is 120,000 GIA. Since this is over the threshold of 110,000 GIA, the pool criteria is fulfilled, and therefore the Weather Effect will not take place.

Scenario B

Total “GIA” claimed from Pool: 100K Balance “GIA” in Pool: 200K – 100K = 100K

100K < 110K --- Pool Criteria NOT Fulfilled, Weather Effect

However, in Scenario B, let's say the GIA claimed is 100,000 GIA. Now, the balance left in the pool is 100,000 GIA. This is below the threshold of 110,000 GIA, so the pool criteria is not fulfilled. Therefore, the Weather Effect will take place.
